The Vice President of Operations is the senior operational leader for The Eleventh Hour Logistics Dallas office. This person owns the daily execution of the business, builds and leads the Dallas team, and ensures every service line under The Eleventh Hour standard is delivered with precision and accountability. This role reports directly to the Founder and CEO.
What You Will Own
- Full operational leadership of the Dallas office across all active service lines including energy freight, hazmat transport, fuel delivery, and field logistics.
- Hiring, onboarding, and developing the Dallas team including the Logistics Manager, Dispatchers, and support staff.
- Carrier and owner operator relationships: recruitment, contracting, compliance verification, and performance management.
- Client relationship management for all Dallas based and Texas region accounts.
- Safety, compliance, and regulatory adherence across DOT, FMCSA, and applicable state and federal requirements.
- Operational reporting to the Founder and CEO with clear metrics on performance, capacity, and growth.
- Vendor and partner coordination for fuel supply, equipment, and field services in the Texas market.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 7 years of progressive operations leadership experience in trucking, energy logistics, or a related freight and field services environment.
- Proven track record of building and managing teams in a fast paced, asset based or owner operator model carrier environment.
- Deep knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and hazmat compliance requirements.
- Strong carrier network in Texas and the broader energy corridor.
- Ability to operate independently and make sound decisions in a lean, founder led organization.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and accountability standards.

Position 02
Logistics Manager
The Logistics Manager is the operational backbone of daily freight and field movement at the Dallas office. This person manages load coordination, carrier dispatch oversight, compliance documentation, and client communication to ensure every shipment moves on time, on spec, and without gaps. This role reports to the Vice President of Operations.
What You Will Own
- Day to day load planning and coordination across energy, hazmat, and bulk freight service lines.
- Communication with carriers, owner operators, and dispatchers to ensure on time execution.
- Monitoring and updating shipment status for clients and internal leadership in real time.
- Compliance documentation management: Bills of Lading, hazmat manifests, chain of custody records, and carrier credential files.
- Problem resolution for delays, breakdowns, and route exceptions with urgency and clear communication.
- Supporting the VP of Operations with capacity planning, carrier sourcing, and performance tracking.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of logistics coordination or freight management experience, preferably in energy, oilfield, or hazmat freight.
- Strong working knowledge of DOT regulations and hazmat shipping requirements.
- Experience with transportation management systems and load tracking platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client first mindset.
- Detail oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple active loads simultaneously without losing accuracy.
- Ability to perform under pressure and make fast, sound decisions in a live freight environment.

The Dispatcher is the voice between the office and the road. This person coordinates directly with drivers and owner operators to execute daily freight movements, monitors load progress in real time, and communicates any changes, delays, or issues with speed and accuracy. This role reports to the Logistics Manager.
What You Will Do
- Assign and dispatch drivers and owner operators to loads based on location, equipment type, and compliance status.
- Maintain constant communication with drivers throughout the load lifecycle from pickup to delivery.
- Track all active loads and update the logistics team and clients on status in real time.
- Coordinate pickups, delivery windows, and site access requirements with shippers and receivers.
- Document all load activity accurately including pickup times, delivery confirmations, and any exceptions or incidents.
- Escalate issues to the Logistics Manager promptly and assist in resolution.
- Ensure all dispatched drivers have current and valid compliance credentials before movement.
What We Are Looking For
- Prior dispatching experience in trucking, freight, or a field logistics environment preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to stay calm and clear under pressure.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple drivers and loads simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Hours of Service regulations and basic DOT compliance requirements.
- Comfortable with transportation software, load boards, and communication tools.

This person manages front desk operations, greets visitors and clients, handles incoming calls and correspondence, and keeps the office running with order and professionalism. This role reports to the Vice President of Operations.
What You Will Do
- Greet and welcome all visitors, clients, and vendors who arrive at the Dallas office.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls with a professional and polished demeanor.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Maintain the front desk and reception area to reflect the standard of the company at all times.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference room bookings for the Dallas team.
- Support the administrative needs of the VP of Operations and Logistics Manager as directed.
- Handle sensitive information with complete discretion and confidentiality.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and document organization as needed.
